Dragon Quest, formerly titled Dragon Warrior in North America, is a franchise consisting of role-playing video games. It was created by Yuji Horii. The franchise consists of a main series of the same name, and its first installment, including for the overall franchise, is the titular Dragon Quest, originally released in 1986 for the Famicom.
